Looking for 25 performers for male characters (tenor, baritone, and bass) and 2 performers for female characters (soprano).

Synopsis – It’s the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence… if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! 1776 follows John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence. This musical really humanizes these iconic Americans and deals with the complexities of our founding. It served as a blueprint for “Hamilton”. Celebrate our 250th birthday with this classic musical!

Show plays – June 5, 6. 7*, 11, 12, 13, 14*, 18, 19, 20

*Denotes Matinee Performance

Auditions are open to ages 16 and older but be aware there are only a few roles for teenage performers.

Important info – Please prepare 30 seconds to a minute from a song (not from the show) with a karaoke/backing track. We will have a speaker for you to connect to. Dress comfortably as there will be a short movement audition. Also, be prepared to cold read from the script. If you are unfamiliar with the musical there is a good movie version from 1972 you could watch to familiarize yourself.

Hope to see you there. Huzzah!!
