Announcing Billings Studio Theatre’s Penguin Project!
Billings Studio Theatre is pleased to announce the launching of our Penguin Project performing in April of 2027. The Penguin Project is a national program, started by Dr. Andy Morgan, that focuses on giving youth with disabilities the chance to experience the joy of theatre! The program holds many opportunities for youth with and without special needs as they work together with their production team to put on a show.
We will be holding informational meetings in the fall for parents and youth to get more information about this wonderful opportunity. Details of those meetings will be forthcoming. Billings Studio Theatre’s Penguin Project will make its debut by performing the junior version of “Honk”. We are looking for young artists (youth with special needs) and mentors (youth without special needs) between the ages of 9-23 to be part of the show. Rehearsals will begin in December and will be held 2-4 times a week. We hope to collaborate with many local businesses and organizations, and already have a partnership with Billings Public Schools. Please visit this website for more information – https://penguinproject.org/. We can’t wait to be the first theatre in Montana to share this amazing project with our community! Watch our website, our social media, and our emails for upcoming information.
