The shy Charlie agreed to accompany Froggy on the trip after his sick wife begged him to go. when people at the lodge try to talk to Charlie, however, he remains silent: terribly shy and depressed about his wife’s illness, he cannot find the words to reply. Froggy clams that Charlie cannot talk because he is a “foreigner” form an exotic country and doesn’t understand English.         Thank you to everyone who auditions. You all read well and worked well with the other auditioners. As you probably noticed, we had many more women audition than men, so we have a strong female police force in Brooklyn.
Our first read through will be Thursday, March 23rd at 7:30 at Grace United Methodist church 1935 Ave B (on the corner of 20th and Avenue B) where we will also set up the rehearsal schedule for the next couple of weeks. If you have any questions, email me at jeff@bststage.com

Mortimer Brewster is living a happy life: he has a steady job at a prominent New York newspaper, he’s just become engaged, and gets to visit his sweet spinster aunts to announce the engagement. Mortimer always knew that his family had a bit of a mad gene, (his brother believes himself to be Teddy Roosevelt) but his world is turned upside down when he realized hat his dear aunts have been poisoning lonely old men for years! When Mortimer’s maniacal brother Jonathan, returns on the night that the aunts are planning to bury the newest victim, Mortimer must rally to help his aunts and protect his fiancee, all while trying to keep his own sanity as well.
